Mindblowing document of first ever live action from the infamous UK duo of Trollish sound wizards. Raw and dank tones crawling to a slither with arcane troll melodies haunting the murk.

The debut of Trollmann av Ildtoppberg, two grim souls doomed to an eternity of trollwandering, with these heavy dirges as their only communication to the outside world. This album is a journey through Trollmann's inner world, a fantastic adventure, not unlike a glacial take on early Mortiis and later Burzum. Staring into the face of DOOM, these compostitions are each monolithic masterworks of the highest caliber.

The first Trollmann av Ildtoppberg "ep" from 2003. This is, in many ways, opposite to "Tolling Beyond the Tombs of Ancient Grimnity." Whereas "Tolling Beyond..." is captured in icy, crystal clear production with maudlin melodies to the forefront, "Arcane Runes Adorn..." is broken and hopelessly lo-fi. As if their sullen hymns were being heard on an old 45rpm acetate, or if their quivering occult shadows were projected through very blown-out tube amplifiers. Though this rotted analog treatment only enhances the intensity of their blackened atmosphere.

This, Trollmann av Ildtoppberg's second "ep" from 2003, enters the farthest reaches of their grim trance. With a coldness not unlike "Daubi Baldrs" era Burzum, Trollmann simultaneously reaches their most emotional and most methodical musical voyages. Often based on single note melodies and simple repetitve bass lines, though occasionally returning to their signature Doom drone, this release catches Trollmann in a particularly inspired web of misery. It tolls for you...
